Juicing is Amazing

I am very lucky. I have a large family, whom I get on with really well and they live close to me.  This means I get to spend a lot of time with them.

I go shopping with my sisters and to the soccer with my dad and brother.

My husband, myself and the kids go to my parents on Sunday once a month, which means we get to have one of my mum’s gorgeous meatloaf roasts.  I do feel blessed.

As I get to spend so much time with my family, it took me a while to notice their transformations. My mum, dad and one of my sisters were juice fasting and boy, did it make a difference. They were all glowing.  I noticed my mum, who usually struggled to stay awake at night was doing more, she would regularly phone me at night to say she was at the movie theatre or out socialising with friends.  My mum used to struggle to stay awake past 9pm.

My dad not only was watching soccer but playing too. The changes were so noticeable.

Their skin was glowing and they were all so happy.

Everyone just looked so amazing, I asked them how to get started.

A good juicing machine is a great place to start.  I checked various websites and bought a best rated juicer. It is such a good machine and juices whole fruit, which means I don’t have to do all the pre-preparation of peeling and chopping, a good juicer can really save you time in this regard.

My family originally started juicing to become healthier and lose weight.  I decided I would do it in addition to my normal diet to start with and see what effects that had.  My weight was ok and I didn’t really need to lose any.

For me the best time to have a juice was with my breakfast.  I usually have two slices of home made wholemeal bread with avocado and vine tomatoes, so a juice would go nicely with that.

My favourite recipe is as follows:

  • 2 x  medium sized apples
  • ½ a pineapple
  • 1/4 of a mug alfalfa sprouts
  • ¼ of a mug watercress
  • ¼ of a mug parsley
  • ¼ of a mug kale
  • ¼ of a mug broccoli
  • 1 oz shot of wheatgrass juice
  • Crushed ice

Instructions:

Simply juice all of the ingredients, add the wheatgrass shot or a teaspoon of wheatgrass powder, mix well and then pour over ice!

So Good For You

This delicious Juice contains loads of natural ingredients. In their raw natural state, these fruits and veggies are packed with vitamins, minerals, enzymes, phytonutrients and antioxidants; all the things our bodies need for optimum health. The added shot of wheatgrass raises its nutritional value and ensures it is also full of protein.

After a week, my work colleagues started to mention my skin. How clear it was and it was glowing too. Some colleagues asked me if I had changed my skin care regime and what on earth I had done.

My energy levels were off the scale. I seemed to have twice as much and my mental clarity and focus was different too.

Going to the gym was a different experience too. The gym was an after work activity for me, I used to struggle for energy, certainly after a long day at work. This was no longer the case. Working out was a breeze.

In Conclusion 

Don’t procrastinate, just do this. Juicing is the best thing I have ever done. My eczema has cleared up and my skin is clear, I am full of energy and always happy, try it for yourself!
